Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the first generic version of Cialis®, a prescription medication intended for men who experience erectile dysfunction (ED). Cialis® is the generic version of Eli Lilly's Cialis®.

Under the terms of the agreement, American Home Products will receive approval for the U. market for Cialis® from the FDA, and Cialis® will be available in the U. for only $0.42 per tablet.

The FDA approved Lilly's entry into the U. for Cialis® in December 2017. for Cialis® in January 2018, which was the first generic version of Lilly's Cialis®.
